In preparation for round one of our summer competition this Wednesday 17th October, please see the following information regarding set up and pack up requirements from each team.
All teams have been assigned and notified accordingly.

U4-U7 – 2x 15min halves, 5 minute half time break
U8-U16 – 2x 20min halves, 5 minute half time break
U4-U7 – no referees, teams need to appoint a parent game leader to run the game
U8-U16 – referees provided
NOTE: if you or someone you know are interested in refereeing games in the U8-U16 age groups, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org for further information. Referees will be paid for their time.
Field layouts for the Summer competition differ to the winter season. you can find the summer field layouts at https://www.sjfc.com.au/summer-football/summer-football-field-layouts/
Teams are required to set up their own fields. Each team must provide 1 volunteer each week for set up where required below.
Goals are to be set up and ready for kick off. If your field is not set up then your game will not kick off on time. Games will still finish at their scheduled time even if they start late, that is, game times will be shortened.
Goals need to be carried from the storage shed onto the field, and pegged down.
Set up volunteer requirements are below:
- U8 to u16 (6pm games field 1 and 2) – 1 volunteer per team, report to storage shed at 5.15pm
- U4 to U7 (6pm games field 3) – 1 volunteer per team, report to storage shed at 5.35pm
- U8 to U16 (6.50pm games field 3) – 1 volunteer per team, report to storage shed at 6.10pm
Unlike the winter season we will not be requesting for teams to nominate people, we will expect that each team will be able to provide 1 volunteer a week when required as per the above. We recommend that each team creates their own roster and shares this responsibility amongst the parents.
All U4 to U7 teams playing at 6pm on field 3 must bring their goals back to the storage shed after their game.
All U8-U16 teams playing at 7.40pm on fields 1,2 and 3 must bring their goals back to the storage shed after their game.
