The Working with Children Check (WWCC) is an important NSW State Government requirement which contributes to the provision of a child safe environment.

Football NSW has introduced a new Working with Children Check Policy. For the 2018 season and beyond, it is a requirement of Football NSW that all persons in child related roles working or volunteering with children under 18 years (eg. Coaches, Managers, Committee Members) obtain a WWCC and provide their Club with a valid WWCC number.

Unlike previous years, all volunteer parents or close relatives in child related roles working with children under 18 years (eg. coaching or managing their own child’s or close relative’s team), will now require a WWCC number. The only exemption for these roles recognised by Football NSW is the exemption for persons aged under 18 years.

A volunteer WWCC is free and lasts for 5 years. Once obtained, the volunteer is required to add their WWCC number to their MyFootballClub registration so that it is available to the Club.
